1. What is the best way to fold the Wanderlite?
It really doesn't matter. You can fold it, stuff it, crush it, wad it, any way you like. My favorite way is to lay it on a flat surface, front side down, straps facing up. Smooth it flat and fold it lengthwise in half, then in half again, tucking the straps in. It should be about 5 inches wide now -- roll it up tightly and slip a couple of rubber bands around it. That's it!
2. What size travelers does the Wanderlite fit? Children age 10 and up, to adults size XXXL, there are really no limits to the torso sizes or shapes that the Wanderlite, with its super-supple strap material, will comfortably fit.
3. How much "stuff" will the Wanderlite hold? At 1925 cubic inches, the Wanderlite is considered a full size daypack. The main compartment comfortably holds heavy shirts, raingear, lunch, and water for two, with space left over for guidebooks, cameras, and other gear. Competing "packables" range from 900 to 1250 cubic inches.
4. Wanderlite is so packable and lightweight - is it durable? Very much so... Hi-Count 420 denier Nylon Packcloth is used throughout. Fire-Crew Tough.
5. Are unpadded straps uncomfortable? Not at all. Since typical daypack loads for travelers range from 6 to 12 pounds, padded straps end up adding only bulk, not comfort. Wanderlite's specially designed strap material prevents strap edges from cutting in or chafing, resulting in a more natural and comfortable carry. Load it up and try it out -- if you don't agree, return the pack for a full refund.
6. What is Barefoot's return policy and product warranty? Wanderlite excursion packs may be returned to Barefoot for any reason, no questions asked, within 30 days of purchase. The full purchase price will be promptly refunded. The Wanderlite also carries a lifetime guarantee against failure due to defects in materials or workmanship.
7. Do I need a waistbelt? Waist belts on this type of pack may look important, but are actually useless. First of all, the pack's weight cannot be borne by the hips because this size pack does not extend that far down the torso. Second, a waist belt would fasten and ride about 2" above the navel for most users, which proves to be uncomfortable and does not add any appreciable stability to the pack. In fact, you will find that the Wanderlite's classic "teardrap" design rides snugly and securely without a waistbelt for a well balanced, forgot-it-was-there carry.
8. How does Wanderlite compare to other "packable" daypacks? Simply put, Wanderlite offers an unmatched combination of capacity, durability, comfort, and of course, packability. Compare Wanderlite against any other packable traveler's daypack using these four essential criteria, and you will become a fan.
9. What are the standard shipping arrangements? Your Wanderlite will ship within 48 hours via USPS Priority Mail, and typically arrives within 2-3 business days, or 6-10 days for international orders.
10. Can I purchase Wanderlite offline? Yes, simply send a check or money order, along with your name and shipping address, to the address shown at the bottom of this page. Of course, we will be happy to help you over the telephone as well.
11. What about privacy and security? Barefoot respects your right to secure transactions, which is why all online payment arrangements are made securely through PayPal. Barefoot Enterprises collects no financial information, and does not share any information about its customers with any other parties for any reason... period.
